“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me. And I’m feeling good.” Show of hands—did a song immediately come to mind when you read that line? 😉
To be honest, I’ve had plenty of reminders of how hard the next four years will be. It makes it hard to be excited about what’s to come. But this passage gives us a peek into a people who were living in some pretty difficult times and yet still expectant of something wonderful coming their way. This is a model to take into this new year.
One way I’m doing that is by attending and inviting you to join me at Freedom Rising: The Fierce Urgency of Now. We’ve moved the conference to October 31–November 2, 2025, so we can be back home. Why not dream boldly and act courageously in our newly rebuilt sanctuary and program space? It’s imperative that we are all in this together.
What is coming your way this year that fills you with that same expectant energy? What else does 2025 hold for you that helps you feel whole, safe, well, and happy?
